Dear Reader,
🎉 It’s GO-time! Introducing Founderland’s Rise & Thrive Report.
🤔 WHAT IS THE REPORT?
The Rise & Thrive Report is an intersectional exploration of the experiences of Women of Colour founders featuring insights from Berlin-based founders.
📝 WHY DID WE CREATE IT?
Because there is simply not enough data. We primarily react to what we can track, and there is still more data to compile, and more European-wide support needed to clarify where we are with funding diverse founders.
"There is no problem unless you can quantify it.”
Step one: Talk to the founders in our community to understand the multidimensionality of the problems they face, raising capital, facing discrimination, and hitting the glass ceiling.
Step two: Create a report with hard facts, backed by data, statistics, and lived experiences, aiming to shed light on the issues WoC founders face and to provide a deeper understanding of them. By doing so, we can work together as a community to provide better support, raise awareness and bring these issues to the attention of policymakers.
Step three: Release it to the world. It's time to bring this issue to the forefront and spark a comprehensive dialogue about it. By addressing the funding disparities, discrimination, and bias faced by women of colour entrepreneurs, we can work towards finding solutions and creating a more equitable future for everyone.
🔎 WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF THIS REPORT?
⚡️ Gain an understanding of the current situation concerning entrepreneurship for Women of Colour in Germany
